Ellen DeVita
Ellen DeVita has taught art, worked with emotionally disturbed adolescents doing
art therapy and ran the art department at a prestigious arts camp.  A serious accident in 1994
changed Ellen's life drastically, and she and her husband made the decision to move to Florida, where she would
be able to have more physical independence.  Ellen's need for continued therapy led her to resume her art work and jewelry-making.
Her participation in several art workshops helped bring her work to the "next level", emphasizing both vibrancy and the
extended use of texture.  She paints mostly small abstracted florals and landscapes, and refuses to allow
her limitations to define her.
